Job Purpose
To test all units which have been worked on in line with customer requirements, product testing on incoming goods, after any repairs have been done, any QA work which needs to be done, whether in the LESA warehouse or on site (Field Work).
JOB CONTEXT
Product testing to ensure compliance and customers’ needs and requirements are met. Liaise with relevant stakeholders within LE, but not limited to LE, to ensure customer deliveries efficiency and timeously. Adaptation of products to fill customer orders accurately and timeously.
Key Accountabilities
Description of the Accountabilities
- Testing against project scopes and adaptations
- Understanding and testing relay schematics
- Leading product failure investigations
- Reporting findings to the Quality Manager
- Product Repairs
- Product Testing Factory Acceptance Testing (When required)
- Provide Test Reports.
- Ensure housekeeping is done in the work area.
- Work together with the QMS Manager/Representative.
- Incoming Product Testing.
- Product testing before dispatch.
- Assist Engineering/Technical/Contract Team with day-to-day tasks.
- Ad-hoc tasks from Management as and when required.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
Minimum Qualifications, Certification and Knowledge
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in testing/warehouse (Factory) work/similar work experience
- Must be able to read electrical Schematics.
- Computer literacy in MS Office, Excel Spreadsheet.
- Team player with strong analytical skills, able to contribute actively.
- Electrical Trade Test (Red Seal)
Job-Specific Skills
- Previous experience in electrical adaptation and installations.
- Be able to operate electrical test equipment.
- Good communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work proactively and maintain relationships.
- Attention to detail.
- Valid Driving License.
- Valid forklift permit (to obtain if not in possession of one).
