A well-established specialty packaging manufacturer based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and strengthen the company’s quality management systems and factory quality controls.
This role is ideal for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys working on the factory floor, driving quality culture, and implementing practical process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s quality management system
- Ensure compliance with quality standards
- Lead internal and external audits
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Manage customer complaints and quality investigations
- Lead and develop the quality control team
- Drive waste reduction and defect prevention initiatives
- Monitor and improve quality across extrusion, printing, and conversion processes
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years quality management experience
- Experience in manufacturing or packaging
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and auditing
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work closely with production teams
