We are a custom cable design and manufacturing company looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team. Great opportunity to work in a casual, friendly, dynamic environment.
- Looking for the right candidate to work with visual aids, testing equipment, and work instructions to ensure our manufactured cables meet or exceed listed requirements
- Follow detailed requirements supplied by custom engineered drawings
- Inspect 100% of cables visually and electronically test all cables using a cable testing program
- Provide job function support to coworkers as needed
- Opportunity to learn all facets of Production and Quality Control areas
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Quality Manager
- Use good practices to assure all products are built and tested to the highest standard of quality
- Complete final production steps to the cables; including labels, heat shrink, braid and other cable dressings
- Verify cable colors, twisted pairs, lengths (mostly in imperial units), material, and other requirements listed on the drawings
- Not afraid to ask questions and seek advice when needed
Required Skills:
- Hand dexterity important; small parts being assembled
- Tasks are generally of a repetitive nature, must be able to do the same task with precision
- Understand how to read measurements on a ruler
- Experience with electronic components a plus
- Familiarity with IPC Standards a plus
- Experience with ISO 9001 requirements a plus
- On-site job training
- Hours 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
