Qualifified Commercial Vehicle Diesel Technician Gauteng Jobs in Sandton, South Africa at Select Motor Recruitment
Duties : Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on diesel engines and related components
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure proper operation
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and provide solutions for repair
Replace faulty components, such as fuel pumps, filters, and turbochargers
Ensure all repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Keep accurate records of maintenance work and parts used Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary
Work effectively with the team to ensure timely vehicle repairs and minimize downtime
Requirements :
Certification in Diesel Mechanics or related fields
Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
Prior experience in a transport or logistics environment
Minimum 3-5 years proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems in Automotive industry
Experience in repairing and maintaining large commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
Ability to work overtime and be on standby as required
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Automotive Industry experience ESSENTIAL!
