Position: Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant – Blue Crane – Alberton
Location: Alberton
Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Blue Crane store. The role involves providing pharmaceutical care by addressing patients’ medicine-related needs and being accountable for meeting these needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric
Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
Experience with Unisolv
Computer literacy – MS Office
Sound numerical skills
Strong command of English and at least one additional language
Willingness to work retail hours
Advantageous:
Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations
Additional language skills
Experience with SAP and E-Scripting
Knowledge of drug family planning and complementary medicine
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the sale and preparation of medicines, including Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 substances
Assist in manufacturing, re-packaging, and stock control
Read and interpret prescriptions, ensuring accurate labelling and supply
Provide patient counselling on medication use
Process claims and handle medical aid interactions
Maintain accurate records and stock levels
Follow all SOPs and legal requirements
