Private School – Kuils River
A well-established private school in Kuils River is seeking a qualified Choir Conductor to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about music, skilled in leading choral groups, and eager to nurture and develop young vocal talent.
Position: Choir Conductor
Location: Kuils River, Western Cape
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
Must hold a recognised qualification in choral conducting or a related field (e.g. a degree or diploma in Music/Choral Conducting).
Demonstrated experience in conducting school or youth choirs.
Ability to teach vocal technique, harmony, and performance skills in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for working with children.
Willingness to prepare choirs for school concerts, special events, and competitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and lead school choirs across various age groups.
Select, arrange, and teach appropriate repertoire.
Plan and facilitate regular rehearsals.
Prepare students for performances and public events.
Collaborate with teaching staff on music-related activities.
