Job Description
Quality Automation Engineer,Test automation framework development, API testing, SQL, functional testing, regression testing, defect management
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
- Analyse system requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to define comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document and track defects, working with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.
- Integrate automated testing within continuous integration and deployment processes to ensure consistent software quality.
- Perform regression testing to confirm that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Review and improve existing automation test suites to enhance coverage and performance.
- Provide clear and concise reports on test results, including metrics and trends, to inform project stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practises in test automation and quality assurance methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and internal quality policies.
Education
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- ISTQB Foundation, Certified Agile Tester
Experience
- 3–7 years of Experience
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement automated testing frameworks that support complex application environments.
- Experience working within Agile teams and contributing to rapid delivery cycles.
Knowledge and Skills
- Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, JMeter, Git, Jenkins, Azure Dev Op
- SDLC, Agile delivery, Quality Engineering
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL for test data validation.
- Understanding of security and compliance considerations within financial software environments.
