Basic Requirements:
Education: Grade 12.
Previous administrative experience
Good communication and organizational skills required
Negotiating skills
Time management skills
Job Requirements:
Taking charge of full scope of Project Purchasing – placing and expediting of orders, daily liaison with suppliers, and regular feedback on project status
Negotiating better pricing and payment terms and credit returns with suppliers
Ensuring that Project Purchasing is in line with Cash flow Forecasting set for projects
Managing supplier relationships
Assisting with various other functions within the department
Liaise with all relevant departments regarding timing of orders and expediting orders where needed
Track orders and ensure timely deliveries
Sourcing materials, goods, products and services where needed
Work in a stressful environment when project timing is tight.
Preference will be given to employees from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998
