Job Description
The appointed service provider will be required to:
• Review trial balances and supporting schedules for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.
• Prepare a full set of Annual Financial Statements in accordance with GRAP, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations.
• Prepare the Annual Financial Statements in line with the National Treasury AFS template.
• Prepare all related working papers and schedules required by the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA).
• Identify and correct any misstatements, classification errors, or accounting discrepancies in consultation with the finance team.
• Provide technical support and guidance on GRAP and PFMA-related accounting matters, including disclosure requirements.
• Assist with addressing AGSA audit findings or queries during the external audit process, where applicable.
• Transfer skills and knowledge to the organisation’s finance staff where possible during the process.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications and experience must be provided demonstrating a minimum of 5 years’ experience in preparing GRAP-compliant financial statements for public entities.
