Palm Protection & Security is expanding its professional security team in Naples, Florida, and is seeking experienced former Law Enforcement and Military professionals for a long-term protective security assignment serving a private client.
Graduation from an approved Federal, State or Local Law Enforcement Academy.
**Graduation from A Correctional Academy will not satisfy the above requirement**
**CORRECTIONS AND SECURITY EXPERIENCE WILL NOT SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS**
This is not a traditional security guard position. We are seeking mature, experienced professionals capable of working in a highly professional environment where judgment, discretion, communication skills, appearance, and situational awareness are equally as important as protective capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess substantial professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Prior sworn Law Enforcement experience, preferably with 8+ years of service
- Prior Military service with relevant security, protective, combat arms, military police, special operations, or leadership experience
- Specialized law enforcement experience in areas such as:
- Patrol Operations
- Investigations
- SWAT / Tactical Operations
- Narcotics or Gang Units
- Executive / Dignitary Protection
- Intelligence or Surveillance
- School Resource Officer assignments
- Emergency Response
Applicants whose experience is primarily entry-level private security or limited corrections experience without additional law enforcement, military, or specialized protective experience are unlikely to meet the requirements of this position.
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- Present a polished and professional appearance
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to remain composed under pressure
- Be physically capable of performing protective security duties
- Successfully complete a comprehensive background review
- Demonstrate a high level of firearms proficiency and successfully complete Palm Protection & Security’s weapons qualification
- Possess or be eligible to obtain Florida Class D and G Security Licenses
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Be available for consistent scheduled shifts, including some weekends and holidays
Preference will be given to candidates interested in full-time, long-term employment.
Nature of the Assignment
Duties may include:
- Providing a professional protective presence at a private client location
- Access control and monitoring of persons entering the property
- Vehicle and pedestrian patrol
- Identification and assessment of suspicious activity
- Emergency and medical response
- Incident prevention and de-escalation
- Coordination with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Protective support for special events or high-profile guests
- Maintaining detailed reports and operational documentation
This position requires officers who understand that effective protection involves more than standing a post. Successful candidates must be able to observe, communicate, assess situations, interact professionally with clients and guests, and take appropriate action when circumstances require it.
