Summary:
An established company is seeking a qualified Proposals Engineer to manage the preparation of quotations and tenders for power generation products, services, and technologies. The role requires strong technical and commercial acumen to evaluate specifications, prepare cost estimates, and ensure tender compliance. The successful candidate will liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to develop tailored, competitive solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit detailed tenders and quotations
Review customer specifications and ensure compliance (technical and commercial)
Compile cost estimates and confirm availability of materials/stock
Interpret Single Line Diagrams for pricing
Coordinate returnable documents and technical attachments
Conduct site inspections when required
Provide technical support to clients and internal teams
Maintain strong customer relationships and support business development
Participate in product launches and trade exhibitions
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant engineering diploma or degree (Electrical/Mechanical preferred)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in proposals, sales, or tendering within power generation or related industries
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and components
Proficient in reviewing technical specifications and drawings (including SLDs)
Excellent communication, costing, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
