Handling multiple projects and being established for more than ten years; our team is expanding! We are looking for the perfect candidate to fill the shoes of Project Manager. Although we are a remotely run business, this specific project requires an on-site position in the KZN Pietermaritzburg region, South Africa.
An ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Project Manager focuses on managing projects within the framework of ITIL practices, which aim to align IT services with business needs. Their duties blend traditional project management tasks with ITIL service management principles.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Information Technology
5 years working experience
ITIL Certificate in Foundation in IT Service Management/ TIL Certificate in Intermediate Service Operation
Registration with Project Management Professional Institution
Responsibilities:
Define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with ITIL service management goals.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
Engage with key stakeholders (IT teams, business units, and customers) to ensure that the project aligns with their expectations.
Manage the design and deployment of IT services or solutions in alignment with ITIL’s Service Design and Service Transition stages.
Identify and manage risks associated with the IT service management project.
Allocate resources (personnel, technology, budget) effectively to meet project goals.
Adhere to ITIL best practices and service management processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Implement ITIL’s Continual Service Improvement (CSI) framework to assess the project and its impact on service quality and efficiency.
By focusing on these areas, an ITIL Project Manager ensures that IT services are delivered efficiently, meet customer requirements, and are continually improved in line with best practices.
