Position: Project Manager – IT Infrastructure (Banking)
12 Month Contract role for skilled and seasoned Project Manager with experience in managing IT infrastructure projects gained from the Banking sector. Projects will include but are not limited to IT Infrastructure projects including Hardware, Software replacements, and upgrades.
Project Manager – Banking Sector (Banking: IT Infrastructure Projects)
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Project Management Certification(PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
ITIL Certification (preferred) for IT service management.
Cloud certifications (e.g.,AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are a plus.
Experience:
7+ yearsofproject managementexperience, with at least5 years in the banking sectormanaging IT infrastructure projects.
Proven experience leadinghardware, software replacements, and system upgradesin a banking environment.
Experience working withenterprise IT infrastructure, includingservers, storage, networking, cloud migration, and cybersecurity.
Strong background invendor and stakeholder management, ensuring seamless delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives.
Technical & Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding ofbanking IT infrastructure, includingcore banking systems, data centers, cloud services, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Familiarity withbanking regulatory requirements, compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001), and risk management.
Experience withIT infrastructure lifecycle management, system integrations, and disaster recovery planning.
Proficiency inAgile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
Knowledge ofcloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), virtualization, and networking technologies.
Skills & Competencies:
Leadership & Team Management:Ability to coordinatecross-functional teams, including IT engineers, security teams, and business units.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:Experience managing relationships with banking executives, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Budget & Risk Management:Strong financial planning skills to manage IT project budgets, risks, and timelines effectively.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:Ability to resolvetechnical challengesand ensure smooth infrastructure deployment.
Change Management:Experience leading IT transformation and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on experiencewithcloud migration projectsand digital banking transformation.
Experience withlarge-scale system upgrades, software patching, and compliance-driven IT changes.
Knowledge ofemerging banking technologies, cybersecurity threats, andresilienceplanning.
