Full Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction and Engineering Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all phases of construction and engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. The ideal candidate will manage teams, budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects that meet scope, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Prepare budgets and cost estimates; manage expenditures and mitigate risks of cost overruns.
Project Execution & Oversight:
Coordinate and supervise construction and engineering activities across all project phases.
Manage project staff, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely completion.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and project updates.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and environmental laws.
Quality Assurance:
Enforce company quality standards and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct inspections and facilitate quality audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical engineering or a related field
Must have a valid PR.CM certificate with SACPCMP or a valid PR.PM certificate from an internationally recognized body.
Minimum of [5–10] years of experience in construction and/or engineering project management.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
Solid understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and project controls.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Work Conditions:
Work is performed both in office environments and on construction sites.
May involve occasional travel to project sites or stakeholder meetings.
