Milkor Integrated Systems (Pty) Ltd has an opportunity for a
Project Manager
to assist on multiple development- type projects, with the emphasis on
communication
systems projects.
This position is based in Airport City, Cape Town.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage multi-disciplinary projects within budget, time, scale and contractual quality deliverables.
Developing project plans in consultation with various stakeholders and departments.
Regular reporting on status of projects.
Supporting continuous improvement on projects management system.
Your duties are to assist with timeline development, ensure production is on schedule, important company supervision from start to finish, and offer guidance to improve progress.
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
Break projects into doable actions and important company timeframe.
Analyze risks and opportunities.
Implement and manage project changes and variations to achieve project outputs.
Act as the primary point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
Work closely with the Program Managers and Technical team.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Production Departments.
Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve technical and quality problems.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION
Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience within the Communications industry.
Excellent working knowledge of:
GUI based radio systems
Installation & Cabling principles.
IP and LAN systems.
Intermittent out-of-town travel forms a significant part of this post.
COMPETENCIES
Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
Managing development-type projects will be a strong advantage.
An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
Hands-on experience with project management tools new users.
Good communication skills, verbal and written.
Sense of urgency.
Able to think conceptually.
