We are seeking a
dynamic
Project Manager for our client in Helderberg, Somerset West.
Company Overview:
Our client is a cutting-edge design and manufacturing company specializing in advanced, lightweight composite products for leading global players in the aircraft interior and aircraft seating industries.
Minimum Requirements & Key Skills:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Engineering qualification highly advantageous).
Minimum of 3 years of proven project management experience within a manufacturing environment (Essential).
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project.
Strong project management capabilities: formal qualification in project management is preferred.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design principles (Advantageous).
Experience in working with global teams and across diverse cultural environments.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent (Advantageous).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer relationships, ensuring effective communication and resolution of claims, warranties, and contractual matters.
Coordinate and track all design iterations and changes during development and serial production phases.
Implement and maintain a robust “lessons learned” framework to capture and apply knowledge from past and current projects.
Monitor and report on project progress, providing updates to the project steering committee on key performance indicators.
Track and manage project budgets, identifying cost drivers and proposing cost-saving measures.
Identify, assess, prioritize, and monitor project risks using structured risk management tools.
Provide clear, regular, and structured feedback to internal and external stakeholders on project status.
Oversee all project management activities, addressing bottlenecks, escalating issues where needed, and exploring viable alternatives.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, define milestones and responsibilities, and allocate and oversee work packages.
Review customer purchase orders to ensure alignment with the latest offers and specifications.
Ensure the timely resolution and implementation of solutions to customer-reported or internally identified project issues.
Facilitate smooth transitions between Development and Industrialization and Serial Production phases.
