About Aitsa

Aitsa Aftercare Centre is a community-based organisation dedicated to the holistic development of children and youth in the Dwarsriver Valley. Through our programmes, we support education, nutrition, life skills, and personal growth for learners.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to strengthen our team and help lead programmes that make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will oversee and coordinate Aitsa’s programmes and operations, ensuring effective implementation, strong team collaboration, and alignment with our mission.

This role requires someone who can balance leadership, administration, and relational engagement in a dynamic NGO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Aitsa’s programmes across multiple focus areas
  • Coordinate project planning, timelines, and administrative processes
  • Work closely with staff, volunteers, and partners
  • Ensure programmes are implemented effectively and achieve intended outcomes
  • Support the development and growth of programmes that empower children and youth
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and contribute to organisational systems and structure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the community and stakeholder network

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with a relevant post-school qualification
  • Proven experience in project management, coordination, or programme management
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in Afrikaans, with the ability to engage meaningfully within the local community
