About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager II to join a leading technology organisation and take ownership of medium-to-large, complex technology projects.

This is a hands-on delivery role for a Project Manager who can work independently, manage multiple teams and workstreams, engage with senior stakeholders and external technology partners, and drive projects from requirements through to successful implementation and closure.

The successful candidate will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior Project Managers and project coordinators.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–6+ years’ professional Project Management experience
  • Strong technology/software delivery background
  • Proven experience managing medium-to-large technology projects
  • Experience owning projects from requirements through to implementation and closure
  • Experience managing multiple teams or workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including senior management
  • Experience working with external vendors and technology partners
  • Strong experience managing project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and competing stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring junior PMs or project coordinators

Technology & Technical Knowledge

You don’t need to be a developer, but you should have strong technical understanding and be comfortable working with technical teams.

You should be comfortable participating in technical discussions around architecture, integrations, environments, releases, dependencies and delivery risks, without necessarily being hands-on technical.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex technology projects from initiation through to delivery and closure.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and milestones.

Coordinate multiple teams, workstreams and resources.

Manage project scope, requirements, dependencies and deliverables.

Identify and manage project risks and issues.

Monitor project capacity, resource allocation and scheduling.

Manage external vendors and technology partners.

Provide regular project reporting to senior stakeholders.

Facilitate governance meetings and ensure appropriate project controls are maintained.

Track project budgets, forecasting and financial performance.

Manage changes, escalations and competing priorities.

Support release planning and implementation.

Drive issue resolution and project recovery where required.

Monitor delivery against agreed objectives and outcomes.

Mentor and support junior Project Managers and project coordinators.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve project delivery.
