Position: Â Programmer Analyst I
The Transportation Team is looking for a passionate software programmer analyst who will be responsible for working with business and operations to gather ship carrier requirements and collaborate with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and shipping methods into the network. As part of the integration, you will design, develop, and maintain transportation documents like shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
You will also work alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automating manual configuration processes, and documenting our systems.
Your solutions will impact our customers directly! This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running, andyour abilityto learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success.
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, possess superior verbal and writtencommunication skills, and have strong organizational skills. You should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, work independently, and maintainprofessionalismunder pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. Accurately prioritizing projects, making sound judgments, working to improve the customer experience, and getting the right things done are essential to this role.
Minimum Requirements:
– Bachelor’s in CS or related field with 0-5 years of experience
– Knowledge of scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby
– Ability to write code in C, C++, or Java
– Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data
– Strong organizational andproblem-solving skillswith greatattention to detail, including the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results.
