Description
Right to Care is looking for suitable Program Coordinator to be based in KwaZulu Natal (uThukela District)
Implement Voluntary Male Circumcision Programme (VMMC) at facility level in accordance with provincial and SA national guidelines
Maintain and respond to QA assessments
Chair/attend staff district and facility meetings
Management of VMMC related adverse events effectively
Compile and submit standardised progress report to line Manager as per a need
Conduct In-service training and mentorship of the MOVE team at the sites
Clinical guidance to management.
Manage and coordinate Gp’s in the districts to ensure provision of quality service
Participate in internal and external quality assurance assessments and assist the site with quality improvement activities in response to QA results.
Hold regular meetings for VMMC MOVE team to monitor progress and provide mentorship.
Management and coordination of the MMC Clinical, demand creation and social mobilisation team.
Conduct meetings as needed with MMC Clinical and demand creation teams to determine progress, any issues and any suggested improvements
Conduct continuous staff appraisal and development to increase capacity and project outcomes.
Identify training needs of staff and create training plan to address these needs.
Provide coaching and mentorship to Demand Creation Officers and Social Mobilisers regarding demand creation programme performance
Create and manage locum data base, and staff as per the needs of the program.
Ensure management of staff Time and Attendance policy.
Supervise all clinical staff and ensure adherence to VMMC SAG/WHO standards.
Mentor and supervise project staff and ensure correct induction and knowledge of RTC policies.
Create and manage locum data base, and staff as per the needs of the program.
Report any challenges and developments to your immediate Line Manager, all site decisions to be communicate and approved by your Line Manager.
Report all vehicle incidents/accidents and ensure documentation of reports to your line manager
Familiarise self with rules and regulations of the Health Act and other relevant legislation.
Familiarise self with Right to Care standards, policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
Clinical Associate Degree/ Bachelor Clinical Medical Practice and VMMC Training course
Two years’ experience in Public Health setting.
Desirable Required Qualifications And Experience
Clinical Associate Degree
Post graduate qualification in either of the following: HIV/ AIDS/ TB/ STI
Training and experience in Medical Male circumcision
2-year experience in surgical setting
