Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment, including forklifts and power tools, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Interpret and follow detailed production documents, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate product assembly.
- Utilize measuring instruments and hand tools to perform precise measurements and mechanical assembly tasks.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and material movement within the factory setting.
- Assist with process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with safety standards in production environments.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production targets efficiently while ensuring quality standards are upheld.
Qualifications
- Proven factory or manufacturing facility experience, preferably with assembly line exposure.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing documents.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including safety protocol adherence and lean manufacturing practices.
- Experience managing or supporting production or assembly teams is a plus.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
