Production Supervisor/Spraybooth Jobs in Worcester, South Africa at GRW
Position: Production Supervisor (Spraybooth)
Location: Worcester
The position is based at our Worcester branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily operational supervision of the spray booth and managing of the employees.
Ensure that the performance of the employees constantly improves.
Responsible for Discipline.
Production Planning and scheduling.
Implement lean manufacturing and 5S principles in the Paint Shop.
Implement processes and procedures.
Meeting all production targets.
Prepare and present regular reports for senior management.
Knowledge of Spray painting & different paints / primer.
Providing advice and guidance to the team on all paint shop operations (blasting, prepping, painting
and reworks, etc).
Hands on approach to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods with consideration to
appropriate Health & Safety and Quality standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and training.
Will be responsible for the QC and must investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
Completing quality checks prior to each job entering paint booth and after each job is completed.
Ensure that re-work is kept to a minimum.
Requirements:
National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in production management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
Additional certifications in paint technology, surface finishing or lean manufacturing will be advantageous.
5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing & Industrial environment
3-4 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a paint shop / surface treatment will be advantageous.
Proficiency in using production management and ERP systems
In-dept knowledge of paint shop operations
Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work under pressure and plan ahead.
Report writing and attend weekly or monthly feedback meetings.
Responsible for Housekeeping and safe working environment.
Must be willing to work shifts and long hours.

The candidate must be willing to relocate or travel to Worcester daily and available to work the following shifts: 06:00 – 14:30 / 14:15
-22:45 (from Monday – Friday)
