Position: Â Production Supervisor (Elandsfontein)
The Group currently has a vacancy for afast-pacedand organized Supervisor to join the team. The successful candidate will assist the Production Manager with supervising and monitoring the intake area at the Elandsfontein yard in Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager. He/she will also have to:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Ensure all operational processes and procedures are strictly followed
Identify the exact quality and specification of the commodity being purchased
Maintain good customer relations and ensurecustomer satisfaction
Identify and report fraudulent transactions
Ensure records are updated and reconciled accurately for all items purchased and dispatched
Ensure Company policies and procedures & Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
Lead and supervise a team in order to achieve operational and goal-oriented requirements
Ensure that the requirements of the Second-hand Goods Act are complied with when buying scrap by accurately recording all information required under the Act
Ensure employees have the equipment to do the tasks set out
Ensure machinery and equipment are in good working order
Direct the flow of vehicles and forklifts in the intake area
A strong knowledge of Non-Ferrous commodities
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
A minimum Grade 12 certificate
Previous experience in a Supervisory position
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in scrap metal – essential
Must be conversant with the Second-hand Goods Act
Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Knowledge of different types and grades of metals
QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES
