We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising daily production activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety in the manufacturing of high tensile steel mesh products.

Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Implement and monitor production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of customer orders.
Ensure that all products meet quality standards by conducting regular checks and audits.
Do hazard identification and risk assessments on all machines, fostering a safe workplace.
Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Monitor machinery performance and collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime (Assist maintenance team with fault finding and root cause analysis for machine breakdowns).
Do periodic machine inspections to improve machine availability.
Maintain accurate production records and ensure production personnel prepare their daily reports.
Ensure machines are properly set to safely produce good quality products, to target.
Train and develop the team.
Ensure proper shift handover is carried out in terms of production, machine availability and reliability, housekeeping and that machines are handed over in a good working condition.
Perform any additional duties assigned by Senior Management to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse and production facility.
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12 or a qualification in related field.
Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Red seal) or similar technical qualifications. Advantageous.
Experience: 2–3 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment (exposure to steel, metal, or related industries is a plus).
Technical supervisor experience will be an added advantage
Basic knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively
Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Ability to withstand pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and use initiative along with problem solving abilities.
Must have good analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems of machines.
