Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage production planning systems to ensure optimal resource allocation and production schedules.
Create and maintain detailed production plans, considering inventory levels, material availability, lead times, and customer demand.
Collaborate closely with the production and procurement teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of high-quality jewellery pieces.
Monitor production progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
Analyze and improve current production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
Implement and oversee planning tools and software to streamline operations and ensure accurate tracking of production metrics.
Conduct capacity planning to align production capabilities with forecasted demand, addressing any potential bottlenecks.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication between production, sales, and supply chain departments.
Prepare regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and planning efficiency to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production planning systems and tools, with proficiency in software such as ERP systems or planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and capacity planning.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
