Product Marketing Specialist – Home Appliances
Purpose of the Role
Hisense South Africa is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Marketing Manager to lead the execution of marketing strategies that drive product awareness, market share, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product line, and retail partners to develop and implement go-to-market (GTM) plans, manage product positioning, and support B2B2C marketing efforts across all channels.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute end-to-end product marketing strategies and GTM plans.
Drive product launch initiatives, ensuring cohesive messaging and retail readiness.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform positioning.
Manage trade marketing activities including POS, in-store campaigns, and merchandising.
Support retail partners with marketing toolkits, training, and promotional materials.
Coordinate product communications across ATL, BTL, and digital channels.
Collaborate on CSI initiatives, events, and exhibitions.
Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights.
Development, implementation, and reporting of Integrated Marketing Strategies for go-to-market product launches which includes content localisation, content creation, market evaluation and audience analysis, communication/positioning, promotions/value adds, and smart partnerships across online and offline.
Plan channel support for events; this includes digital awareness communication, branding materials (gazebos, banners, tables, chairs, POS, catalogues), script writing, competition mechanisms, teams to setup, manage and breakdown stands.
Post Campaign Reporting and Improvement
Requirements
Minimum 5 years in a similar role or industry.
Experience in product or brand marketing, in the consumer electronics, Retail, technology sector or FMCG.
Familiarity with retail channel marketing and trade execution. Creative, agile, and proactive with a commercial mindset.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or other related field.
Strong command of English (written and verbal)
Proficient in digital marketing, data analytics, and consumer insight generation.
Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, works well in a team, must be prepared to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
