Position
The Product Engineer and Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering technical expertise to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and successful implementation of instruments. This role involves providing customer training and conducting instrument demonstrations. Product Engineer and Sales Manager will also be tasked with driving revenue growth and expanding Seegene’s market presence in the Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) field.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Technical Expertise & Customer Support
Serve as a technical resource for customers, guiding instrument setup, product information, and troubleshooting. Ensure the seamless integration and operation of Seegene’s MDx instruments in various customer settings.
• Instrument Demonstrations & Training (Overseas/Domestic)
Conduct instrument demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops to educate customers on the optimal use of Seegene instruments and software. Customize training to address specific customer needs and ensure effective instrument utilization.
• Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand Seegene’s market share. Work proactively to identify new business opportunities and drive lead generation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/science (such as biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, Engineering, Medical Engineering, etc.) related field; advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D.)
• Two years or more of prior experience in a similar role within South Africa or Africa in the medical field preferred
• Knowledge and experience with novel molecular in vitro diagnostic assays and devices (and accessories to IVD’s) is preferred
• Fluent in English.
