We are looking for a Creative Product / Footwear & Accessories Designer to join a fast-paced import and wholesale business supplying major retail chains. We are looking for an energetic and fashion-forward creative with a great eye for product and trends, and someone with the ambition to grow into a broader product development role. The role will offer exposure to major South African retail customers, international suppliers, trend research and the broader product development process.
Requirements:
- Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills, with the ability to produce good-quality CADs.
- A genuine passion for fashion, footwear and current international trends.
- A great eye for product, styling, colour and what’s happening in the fashion market.
- Creative and proactive
- Comfortable researching online and international trends and translating these into commercially relevant product ideas for our different retail customers.
- Interested in AI, e-commerce/digital design and new tools that can help improve and speed up the design and development processes.
- A strong team player who is comfortable working in an office environment and managing multiple briefs and deadlines.
- Relevant fashion, product or design industry experience would be preferable, but we would equally consider an exceptional graduate or designer with a standout portfolio, strong technical ability and the right creative mindset.
- Previous footwear experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
