We at RCL FOODS are in search for a Process Engineer:
Laboratory and Continuous Improvement to join our Sugar Business Unit/Division. The role will be based at our Malalane Mill and report to the Production Manager .
Minimum Requirements
BTech/BSc Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
A completed SMRI 10-week sugar course would be a distinct advantage.
At least 3 years Laboratory or Operations / Production managerial experience
Experience in the sugar industry would be an advantage.
Candidates should have advanced Computer literacy (LIMS, MS Office and SAP) skills to complete the profile.
To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide an analytical service to the factory by compiling production related reports.
Adhering to Quality and SHE goals in line with the business objectives.
Maintain the risk management systems and coordinate the maintenance of the laboratory equipment in accordance with Malelane Mill SHEQ requirements.
Responsible for managing the laboratory and plant optimization.
Leading a multi-disciplinary Laboratory team responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Laboratory which includes the management of factory mass balance and ensuring required product analysis are provided for the packaging and factory areas.
Responsible for budgets, cost control and reporting thereof.
