Job Description
A leading international consulting firm is looking for a Principal Tailings Engineer to join their Johannesburg team.
Minimum Requirements:
• BEng/BSc Civil Engineering
• Post Graduate qualifications in geotechnical or water engineering will be beneficial
• 15+ years experience with tailings and water dam design, and associated lining systems.
• Substantial experience in mine waste engineering in a consulting environment.
• Good experience in the technical review of design works, reports and proposals.
• Extensive experience in leading project teams.
• Proven track record in project delivery, managing and mentoring team and the ability to create strong relationships with clients
• Good experience with and understanding of water engineering and closure needs and developments with particular reference to mine waste facilities and the Mining sector.
