We are looking to hire a Pre-Travel Consultant to join our team in Cape Town! Working full-time, 40 hours per week, we offer a hybrid working pattern with 1-2 days a week working from our Century City office in Cape Town. This role requires occasional evening shifts (approx. 1 late shift every 5 weeks).

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a motivated and customer focused professional committed to providing outstanding service to our customers from the moment they book their holiday to the time they depart. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive a premium level of service, addressing their inquiries and providing assistance with post-sales activities before their vacation.

This role primarily involves handling inbound calls with some administrative functions, including the opportunity to book charters and upsell ancillaries. While 80% of your time will be dedicated to pre-departure activities, the remaining 20% will involve any outstanding sales activities……

Manage incoming pre-travel calls from customers, providing assistance and addressing queries.

Troubleshoot and guide customers on any paperwork queries or issues.

Offer suggestions and recommendations on itineraries to enhance customers’ vacation experiences.

Upsell ancillaries to customers to enhance their vacation experience and generate additional revenue.

Conduct outbound concierge calls to communicate pre-departure information and ensure customer satisfaction.

Conduct outbound calling to collect outstanding final payments and follow up on missing paperwork.

Take ownership and accountability for the quality of work, striving to minimize errors and exceed service levels.

Stay updated on travel products, trends, protocols, and service updates to provide informed assistance to customers.

What you’ll bring:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to connect effectively with clients and colleagues.

Proficiency in an additional language, especially French, will be an advantage

Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering outstanding service. Prior experience in a customer contact centre role is highly desirable.

Proactive problem solver who takes ownership of performance and development

Confidence, self-motivation, and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively in a global environment

Passion for travel and customer service

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and CRM systems like HubSpot is beneficial
