We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of our Spec-Savers Rondebult Shopping Centre practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer service, managing staff performance, and maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures. This role oversees both optical and administrative functions and may include audiology support services where applicable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a positive customer experience aligned with the Spec-Savers values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an administrative, dispensing, or optical environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Calico systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Customer-service orientated with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Willingness to work retail hours and occasional overtime when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient daily operation of the store in line with Spec-Savers standards and procedures.
- Deliver and promote exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Monitor customer service metrics, including NPS scores, online reviews, and customer feedback.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff development and performance management.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Manage store administration, including invoicing, receipting, banking, debtors, and creditors.
- Prepare and submit operational and financial reports, including turnover and month-end reporting.
- Conduct stock takes and ensure effective inventory management and stock control.
- Oversee optical dispensing processes, frame selection, quotations, adjustments, and repairs.
- Liaise with laboratories and suppliers to ensure product quality and timely deliveries.
- Support and oversee audiology operations where applicable, including appointment coordination and compliance requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient records and sensitive information.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
- Foster a positive team culture aligned with the company’s values and service standards.
- Perform additional duties as required in line with operational needs.
