A well-established engineering company, specializing in industrial automation, is currently looking for a PLC Programmer to join their team and help drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience with the following:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and wiring in accordance with regulatory standards.
Design, program, and test PLC control systems to optimize automation processes
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation issues promptly and effectively
Create and interpret electrical and automation schematics and diagrams
Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency and system performance
Perform routine preventive maintenance on control panels, PLCs, and machinery
Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety standards
Maintain detailed records of system maintenance, repairs, and updates
Prepare electrical and automation drawings as needed
Education / Requirements:
B.Sc / B.Eng / B. Tech / National Diploma Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics
Qualified Electrician (Red Seal or equivalent certification)
Proven experience in industrial electrical systems and PLC programming
In-depth knowledge of PLCs, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and sensor technologies
Experience with DELTA and SCHNEIDER automation systems is a strong advantage
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license required
