The Platform Specialist will work with the team to identify and implement new features for our messaging platform. You’ll be expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical aspects of development, as well as software design principles. You should have excellent communication skills and a passion for using technology in order to solve complex problems. Experience with SQL is highly desirable but not required.
Requirements
Analyzes and troubleshoots complex issues affecting IT business processes and IT operations
Develops new concepts, documents, and designs that ensure current IT functionality as well as future growth.
Oversees one or more systems through the life cycle and keeps up to date on changes in technology and regulations.
Researches and reports trends that could impact the business.
Works cross functionally with other disciplines, including marketing, sales, human resources, and operations, to ensure all services are providing value.
Participates in strategic decisions that have a significant impact on the company’s overall IT organization and performance.
Demonstrates leadership by Analyze and evaluate business processes in order to define requirements, including transformation of core business processes, architectural designs, and system specifications
Work closely with line staff, architects, developers, and testers to provide them with necessary information to complete their work.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required
5+ years of experience in Software Development, Systems Administration and/or Networking with a strong background in Java and/or C# programming, OO design patterns, and software development practices.
Three years of experience in a platform specialist role, including web development, server administration, and/or support.
