Overview
Hire Resolve is currently recruiting for an experienced Plastic Extrusion Mechanic/Technician to join a well-established company in Durban. As a Plastic Extrusion Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of plastic extrusion machinery.
Responsibilities
Setting up and operating plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality products
Daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance as per schedules
Breakdown repair work and fault finding
Procurement of parts
Maintaining spare parts and stock levels
Assisting with fine tuning of production line
The successful candidate for this role should have a solid background in plastic extrusion and machinery maintenance. Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are essential for this position.
Requirements
Relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastic extrusion, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of plastic extrusion machinery and processes
Experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Strong technical skills and ability to read technical drawings
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
