Role Overview
The Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the plant, ensuring smooth production processes, and upholding quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic maintenance and repairs on the plant.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Operate the plant to meet capacity and quality specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Report maintenance or production issues to the supervisor.
Follow instructions from the superior and comply with safety regulations.
Monitor and evaluate the computerized maintenance strategy for reliability.
Be available for overtime work when required.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Minimum Grade 12.
Experience:
2 – 4 years in a similar role/environment.
Skills &
Competencies:
Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and in a team environment, must be medically fit (Mine Health and Safety Act).
Pre-employment medical examination required.
