Marsh has a fantastic opportunity for a Short Term Insurance Broker to join our team in the Johannesburg office.
The position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience within Short Term insurance, looking to join an established broking team within a market-leading insurance broker.
This is a full-time role, and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:
Provide broking services
Attend strategy and renewal meetings
Prepare and finalize broking documentation
Identify and select appropriate markets
Distribute broking notes to the market
Negotiate with markets for the best deals
Implement placement strategy on high complexity accounts
Collate market terms and quotes for client submission
Prepare placing slips and obtain market confirmation of cover
Confirm final placement, changes, and endorsements
Work with the operations team to issue policy schedules
Prepare other broking documentation as required
Minimum requirements:
Experience in short term, commercial, or corporate insurance broking
FAIS and CPD compliance
Knowledge of risk management principles
Certificate in Insurance or studying towards AIISA (advantage)
Insurer relationships (advantage)
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of insurance legislation
Excellent communication skills in English and local language
Preferred:
RE 05 (Representatives Exam) – Passed (not essential)
