Key Responsibilities:
The Performance Lead is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of performance deliverables and ensures client satisfaction through service delivery and reaching media objectives.
The Performance Lead acts in a pivotal role, coordinating clients and client’s needs with the research, planning, and buying teams with the overall aim of ensuring the business meets the agreed objectives and budgets.
Internally, they also need to be aware and understand profitability status of the account and ensure the integration and process flow throughout all performance campaigns.
Key responsibilities include:
Establishing the overall digital media performance by demonstrating creative thinking based on consumer and business information and extensive understanding of the brand and category dynamics and their short-and-near horizon challenges.
Conferring with outside agencies, including but not limited to creative, social media, search, PR partners, and client marketing teams to establish media goals, objectives, and strategies.
Developing and maintaining senior client relationships; attending, presenting, and providing counsel at all significant agency-client media meetings.
Monitoring profitability, looking for growth potential within existing accounts, and aiding in related accountability and billing.
Implementing and stewarding all components of performance management to ensure all media deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Identifying new opportunities and modes of digital media that offer a strategic advantage to Essence Mediacom or its clients.
Overseeing the quality output of campaign performance and ensuring no write-offs.
Implementing and developing a Ways of Working document for the clients.
Participating actively in new business pitches, particularly performance audits and presentations.
Ensuring timesheets are completed timely.
Skills & Behaviours:
A relevant business degree with 5+ years of broad-based experience including exposure to all media at all levels of agency-client relationships.
Experience in a Senior Performance role for 2 – 4 years.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Good communicator capable of expressing their own ideas, thoughts, and concepts with the ability to multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure.
Knowledgeable about key client markets, brands, market and consumer insights, issues, competition, goals, and requirements.
Ability to manage a team and handle numerous tasks and deliverables.
Competencies:
This role requires multi-disciplinary competencies including presentation skills, negotiation skills, broad-based industry and market awareness, and the ability to handle internal and external communications, manage client satisfaction, and coordinate timely with other departments.
The role requires high levels of commercial awareness and needs to ensure the accounts are commercially viable.
