Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations:
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with statutory regulations.
Manage the complexities of dual payroll systems, including fixed salaries and commission-based payments.
Address ad hoc payments and special payroll arrangements withprecision.
System and Process Management:
Collaborate with S-Cubed to enhance payroll system functionality.
Lead initiativesto transition manual payroll processes to streamlined, efficient workflows.
TeamLeadership:
Manage and mentor a team comprising an Accountant and an Assistant Manager, ensuring accountability and high performance.
Foster a culture ofcollaboration, detail orientation, and process discipline.
Governance and Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to governance protocols and regulatory requirements.
Handle SARS submissions, UIF compliance, and other statutory obligations with zero errors.
Process Improvement:
Introduce structure and consistency to an unstructured payroll environment.
Develop robust processes and controls for managing high volumes of manual and ad hoc payroll activities.
Reporting andCommunication:
Prepare payroll reports forsenior management.
Effectively communicate payroll policies and updates to employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications and
Experience:
Education:
Degree or diploma in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in payroll operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Hands-on experiencewith S-Cubed payroll systems is highly advantageous.
Proven track recordinprocess optimizationand system enhancements.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of South African payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance.
Proficiency in payroll software and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent organizational, analytical, andleadershipcapabilities.
