GAAP Transport Fixed Asset Accountant (Degree + Articles, Pinetown Basic + Benefits
Grade 12
BComm degree, majoring in Financial Accounting minimum, a prerequisite.
Completed Articles.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting department
2 years’ in a management position
Knowledge of the bus passenger industry
Knowledge of GAAP, GRAP, IFRS, Accounting and Auditing principles and practices
Knowledge of Human Resources, and Industrial Relations practices and procedures/related legislation
Duties;
Supervision of Finance
Preparation of month end and year end journals.
Check Trial balance/General ledger
Preparation of monthly General Ledger reconciliations
Control Accounts Payable function (Capturing invoices, preparing reconciliations and payments).
Check monthly cashbook.
Oversee the credit control function
Completion of monthly VAT
Regular internal audits
Conduct audits of Stock-takes.
Maintain fixed asset register
Financial reports
Annual budgets.
Annual external audit.
