Join our dynamic team as a Parts Runner/Writer in training, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of automotive parts and accessories throughout our operations. Responsibilities
- Efficiently retrieve and deliver automotive parts and accessories to various departments, ensuring timely availability for repairs and customer needs.
- Assist with parts sourcing by identifying suitable suppliers and negotiating pricing to optimize inventory costs.
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions using inventory management systems, ERP systems, and internal order management platforms such as Autosoft.
- Support warehouse management activities including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and stock replenishment to uphold optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to facilitate demand planning, purchasing, and supplier management processes.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics understanding to verify parts compatibility and quality before distribution.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to coordinate order status, part sourcing updates, and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories along with familiarity with vehicle systems and OEM standards.
- Experience or training in supply chain management, logistics inventory management, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, ERP platforms (such as Autosoft), Microsoft Office suite, and data entry tools.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and handle shipping & receiving tasks efficiently.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent internal communication skills to support parts administration and customer service efforts.
- Prior dealership or automotive service experience is a plus; familiarity with procurement management, sourcing strategies, and demand planning is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail in inventory control and order management.
