Overview
Part Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessional at Cedar High School. 27.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to students and student groups to reinforce and follow up learning activities.
- Assist in observing and recording behavior patterns and apply techniques to reinforce acceptable behavior.
- Assist certified educators with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
- Participate in the development, maintenance, and execution of classroom management systems.
- Guide students in working and interacting harmoniously with others.
- Supervise students in all areas of the school as assigned.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and job performance.
- Operate basic office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
- Monitor students inside and outside of the building during lunch hours as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge; familiarity with Google Docs; ability to check email frequently.
- Willingness to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
- Ability to work under the direction of a Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities.
