What We’re Hiring For
We’re actively hiring painters at every experience level — entry-level laborers through seasoned lead painters. Pay is based on your experience, skills, and what you bring to the job site, ranging from $20–$30/hr.

What You’ll Do
- Prep surfaces: scraping, sanding, caulking, masking, and protecting floors and trim
- Apply paint, stain, and clear finishes to interior and exterior residential surfaces — brush, roller, and spray
- Drywall patching and repair ranging from nail pops and small holes to larger section replacements
- Work alongside or lead a crew depending on your experience level
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout the day
- Represent Metzenbauer professionally in customers’ homes — including on high-end projects with tight deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Chippewa Valley area
- Strong work ethic and sharp attention to detail — we notice the difference
- Ability to work on ladders and outdoors in variable Wisconsin weather
- Someone who takes pride in their work and holds themselves to a high standard
- Team-first attitude; we work together and look out for each other
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay on your feet all day
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Spanish speakers welcome — hablamos español
What We Offer
- $20–$30+/hr total pay package — based on your actual skills, not just a title
- W-2 employment — taxes handled, no 1099 surprises
- Bi-weekly direct deposit paychecks
- PTO accrual starting at 2 weeks, increasing with tenure.

- Employee health plan reimbursement, up to $3,000 per year.
- Paid travel time and gas reimbursement for jobs outside our traditional service area
- Overnight travel rarely required for select projects — company covers lodging and per diem
- Company vehicle available to qualifying employees based on tenure and performance (subject to insurance approval)
- Consistent full-time hours year-round, including through winter — we are booked into 2027
- Overtime and weekend work regularly available during peak exterior season
- Stable, experienced crew that takes the craft seriously. Average experience is 15 years (ranging from 3 to 35+ years)

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday | Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
