We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper/Detailer to join our automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting, ensuring flawless exterior finishes, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation. Duties
- Prepare vehicles for painting by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Perform vehicle exterior washing, buffing, and paint correction to restore vehicle appearance and remove imperfections
- Use automotive buffers and polishing equipment safely and effectively to achieve a high-gloss finish
- Conduct interior vehicle detailing, including vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring overall vehicle cleanliness
- Assist with vehicle movement within the facility using standard passenger car operation skills and manual transmission driving as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized auto detailing facility by properly handling cleaning equipment and supplies
- Support heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle parts or equipment to ensure safety and efficiency during the prep process
Skills
- Proficiency in standard passenger car operation and manual transmission driving
- Knowledge of safe work practices when handling tools, chemicals, and equipment in an auto detailing environment
- Experience with vehicle paint correction, buffing, and automotive polishing techniques
- Ability to perform automotive buffing, polishing, and cleaning with precision using automotive buffers and other tools
- Familiarity with vehicle exterior washing, interior detailing, and overall vehicle cleanliness maintenance
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support customer satisfaction
- Experience working in an auto detailing facility or car wash environment is preferred
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Attention to detail in all aspects of vehicle preparation, cleaning, and finishing tasks

Pay: $16.00 – $25.00 per hour
