Location: Wilderness
Our client is a small fruit farmer, based between Wilderness and Sedgefield, requiring the expertise of a highly organised and experience Pack-house Manager. Please note this position does not offer accommodation.
POSITION INFO :
Responsibilities
Maintain product quality control and consistent standards and minimise waste at all times in the packline
Organise and motivate the packing team to maintain and improve pack rates by maximisingproductivity as well as minimising non-productive time
Uphold company health and safety standards at all time
Recognise training requirements within the pack line and prioritise the individual improvement of each team member
Effectively communicate and liaise with pack line staff as well as fruit picking team to fill orders and minimise product waste
Control and coordinate product stock levels
Coordinate with freight companies for dispatch
Monitor pack material stock levels and place orders for all material used in the packing process
Ensure adherence to Global
GAP requirements and manage all related administrative tasks
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standard
Requirements
Highly organised
Able to work with a diverse team
Adaptable and proactive
Drivers license
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Experience with audits would be a bonus
IT skills – MS Office, and label printing
Knowledge of HACCP and FSA
Attention to detail and an interest in quality
Working days :
Monday to Friday
Salary R20-30k per month dependent on experience
