An established milling company is seeking a structured, detail-oriented, and resilient Packaging Manager to oversee its automated packaging operations in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in grain milling environments, demonstrating exceptional calm under pressure and a proactive approach to operational challenges. This permanent role focuses on optimizing packaging efficiency, maintaining strict safety standards, and leading a productive team environment.

Salary: Market related, to be determined
Working Hours: 07:30 to 16:30
Dress Code: Smart Casual
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
Minimum of 5 years of extensive packaging experience specifically within the grain milling industry
Advanced technical knowledge of operating and fault-finding on automated packaging machines and robotics within grain milling
Strong computer proficiency
Valid driver''s license and own reliable transportation
Excellent problem-solving, prioritizing, and operations coordination skills
Well-mannered, professional, and level-headed personality capable of managing stress without negativity
Qualifications
National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
A relevant tertiary qualification in Packaging Management or Supply Chain Management
Responsibilities
Manage compliance with ISO 22000 and HACCP food safety standards
Formulate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance plans for machinery
Direct daily, weekly, and monthly production and logistics scheduling
Optimize the use of employees and automated machinery to streamline the packaging process
Maintain final packaging standards to ensure total company and customer satisfaction
Control inventory levels for both the final product and raw packaging materials
Meet and exceed established organizational packaging targets
