Our company is seeking a Quality Controller in the Optical Industry to join our Optical Lab
JOB DESCRIPTION
Check the quality of lenses, coatings, and frames before production.
Verify compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Monitor production processes to ensure precision in shaping, coating, and assembly.
Identify and correct defects during manufacturing to reduce waste.
Conduct visual inspections and measurements (e.g., lens power, curvature, clarity).
Use instruments like lensometers, spectrophotometers, and calipers.
Maintain records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformities.
Prepare reports for management and recommend improvements.
Ensure products meet industry standards (ISO) and company specifications.
Help implement quality control protocols and training.
Work closely with production teams, engineers, and design departments to resolve issues and improve quality.
SKILLS
Proficiency in using optical testing tools and precision measurement equipment.
Essential for spotting minor defects in lenses or coatings.
Familiarity with international quality and safety standards in optics.
Needed for clear reporting and effective coordination with other teams.
Ability to identify root causes and suggest preventive measures.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or degree in Optometry, Optical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in a manufacturing or optical setting is highly valued.
