SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily cargo operations, manage staff and resources, ensure compliance, and maintain efficient freight movement within a busy air cargo environment.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Certificate in Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 5)
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cargo, logistics or warehouse operations
- Minimum 3 years’ management experience
- Experience handling HR and IR matters
- Knowledge of health & safety and regulatory compliance
- Computer literate
- Willing to work abnormal hours when required

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily cargo and warehouse operations
- Allocate staff and resources to ensure smooth workflow
- Manage rosters, attendance and team performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, security and operational procedures
- Lead, coach and support employees
- Handle disciplinary and IR-related matters when required
- Monitor vehicles, equipment and operational resources
- Conduct audits, incident reporting and corrective actions
- Ensure accurate cargo processing, planning, manifesting and billing
- Manage customer and supplier relationships
- Resolve operational issues and improve service delivery
- Maintain on-time performance and support business objectives
