Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for leading high-performance teams? We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our factory operations based in Alrode, Alberton.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production, warehousing, and distribution processes. You will lead a team of supervisors, managers, and team leaders, driving efficiency, safety, and quality across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day factory operations and production processes with a focus on efficiency and minimal waste.
Oversee inventory, warehousing, maintenance, and distribution to meet productivity and cost targets.
Enforce operational policies, procedures, and standards across all areas of the business.
Lead and support staff through effective communication, training, and performance management.
Prepare and review operational reports, including production scores, stock accuracy, and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Coordinate machine maintenance schedules and manage equipment assets.
Monitor stock movements, cycle counts, and manage foam block utilization.
Support staff with on-the-job training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
Grade 12 with Mathematics – Essential
A National Certificate (NQF 6) in Operations – Advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operations or factory management role within manufacturing – Essential
Strong leadership and conflict management skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook – Essential
Own transport with valid Code 8 driver’s license or reliable transportation – Essential
Willingness to work extended hours when required
