Our client is a fast-growing fintech lending to small and medium-sized businesses in the UK.
Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Operations Finance Analyst to join their finance team. This role is suited for a person with a background in accounting, newly qualified CA, with 2 years post qualification experience. (Total experience being 5 years)
Key Responsibilities
The main function will be operations. Which involves everything that happens post underwriting of a client ie funding, capturing repayments, statements, reconciliation to banks, reporting , troubleshooting, adjustments etc.
You will learn the UK ops and then start building out the operations function for our Irish/European business . Improving processes would be part of the job, working with tech, looking to streamline functions etc.
The person will drive operations forward by overseeing the processes and improving them/streamlining them/automating them. Ultimately for the right person this role can evolve to Operations Office Manager type role after a few years (ie and be responsible for the UK and Europe)
You will be doing some finance functions (eg making some creditor payment) and other functions to support the finance team . Some of it is quite basic but a good way of getting in the weeds
Requirements
Degree in Accounting (CA Stream & qualified)
5 Years total experience + experience particularly in audit
Reliable & very fineattention to detail
Very detail oriented
Ability to work well within a team
Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
